The Mediocre Players Guide to Cav EQ
March 2023
Old Sarge's Initial Thoughts: Nothing crazy on the easy path. Bosses are pretty simple. Overall it's an easy month so far.
Old Sarge's Final Thoughts: Coming eventually!
Good luck to everyone running EQ this month, I hope this guide helps. As always- when someone posts a champ that kills a quest or a Boss, I'll update this spreadsheet!
Chapter 1.1: Skill with Secondary Option: Mutant
Easy Path Fights:
Black panther CW: No issue here, I used Manits. Just don't parry when he has an armor up.
iDoom: He's a little bit of a pain, but not crazy. I used Nick Fury.
Cull Obsidian: Super easy defender. Nothing special. I used Mantis.
Odin: Same as Cull. Nothing to worry about. Mantis again.
Mile Morales: I went Nick here, easy defender. Push him to SP2 for easier evading.
Juggs: Brought in Mantis but got clipped by his SP1. Knocked him out with Nick. Straightforward fight.
Quest Boss: Punisher 2099 (TECH)
Main Nodes:
Indomitable: His healing can't be reversed. Only prevented.
Maximum Overdrive: When his battery reaches intervals of exactly 25%, he gains 25% of a bar of power over 5 seconds.
Heal or hide: He gets a regen buff every 12 seconds. If you are far away you get the regen instead.
Unyielding Assault: When he has a regen he also has a precision passive giving him increased Crit Chance for 8 seconds.
Old Sarge Says:
TB EQ Run: Pretty easy fight. Doom was wrecking him so I quit out and brought in Red Mags, P99 is #METAL, so you know that's gonna be an easy W. It was. lol
Cav EQ Run: I used Galan and it was over quick.

Chapter 1.2: Cosmic with Secondary Option: Mystic
Easy Path Fights:
Green Goblin: I used Hulkling. No issues.
Elektra: Easy fight. Hulkling again (I am practicing with him)
Cassie Lang: Changed it up and used Hyperion. Normal playstyle, no issues.
Phoenix: Went with Galan this fight- no issues. Just watch for the Power gain when she is close to dying (keep her around 1 bar of power) and when she should be dead she bounces back. That can wreck your day as well.
War Machine: He's a bit trigger happy with his SP1. So play conservatively to push him to his SP2 if possible. Easy fight with Hulkling.
OG Abomination: Standard Abom fight. I used Hyperion for poison immunity.
Quest Boss: Crossbones (Skill)
Main Nodes:
Power of Will: You can't reduce his Ability Accuracy (He will be able to shrug off parry)
Float Like a Butterfly...-3: His Fury effects are indefinitely paused, unless you Dodge or Evade (dex) an attack.
Specialist -2: Your SP2 does 50% MORE damage but SP1/3 do 50% less.
Redlining: When you go over 33% of your Max Power you get a Power Gain Passive. If you go over 75% of your Max power you are immediately drained to 0.
Beat the Buzzer: When you fill a Bar of Power an 8 second timer starts. If you don't use your Special before it expires you are dealt a big burst of damage.
Old Sarge Says:
TB EQ Run: Pretty easy fight. Apoc walked through him and that was without any charges. He is also #METAL, but the Power of Will node probably negates that, but I am not sure.
Cav EQ Run: I had some fun and used NightCrawler. Easy fight, bait his SP1 and use your SP2 as soon as you get it.

Chapter 2.1: Mutant with Secondary Option: Tech
Easy Path Fights:
NOTE: I'll be honest- The best bet is bring Doom or another Power Control and use them for CMM, Aarkus, and Purgatory. It's just easier.
Mole Man: Apoc is the play here, or StormX/Bishop. Someone that can deal with his Shrug-Off. I used Apoc.
Beast: Apoc for the charges.
CMM: Doom is an easy W here.
Vision Aarkus: Doom again.
Purgatory: And one more time: Doom.
Sabretooth: Used NightCrawler for the fun of it. Easy fight.
Quest Boss: Red Skull (TECH)
Main Nodes:
Armor Break Immunity: No armor breaks allowed- sucks.
Foresight: Intercepting gets you a Passive Fury for 5 seconds.
Kinetic Reactor: He gets power when he hits your block.
Power Struggle: You only get a bar of power when he gets one, and you lose yours when he launches his special. So launch it when you get it.
Explosive Personality: He gets an Armor Up when he blocks an attack. When he gets 5 Armor Ups they explode and you lose 25% of your health.
Old Sarge Says:
TB EQ Run: Bring some nullifiers. Doom worked great. Just watch his Power Gain from hitting your block and launch SPs when you get them. I liked pushing him to SP2 and then launching my SP1.
Cav EQ Run: I used BWCV, but it was a long fight. She wasn't nullifying on her basic hits so I had to use an SP2, which means he had one. Then he hit my block by mistake and shot to an SP3. I didn't die, but it was a mistake. Bring someone like Doom or Dr Voodoo who can use his Armor Ups against him.

Chapter 2.2: Science with Secondary Option: Skill
Easy Path Fights:
Deadpool (X-Force): Any champ. I used Spot but I died cause I am still learning how to use him. Finished up with CapIW.
Emma Frost: I brought Venom (useful for Thing to control Rock Stacks with his bleeds) to let CapIW armor break Emma when I parry. Easy fight.
Gladiator Hulk: Easy fight- I used Overseer.
Cosmic Ghost Rider: Easy fight- I used Overseer. His SP1 is pretty easy to dex.
Anti-Venom: Another easy fight- I used Overseer. Just bait his SP1.
Thing: I used Venom for this fight to keep his Rock Stacks under control. But it is a Standard Thing Fight.
Quest Boss: Captain America (IW) (SCIENCE)
Main Nodes:
Enhanced Abilities -150: All his abilities trigger 150% more often.
Pass the Buck -3: When you get a Bar of power you get a 10 second Power Sting. You can remove it by intercepting him and then it gets placed on him.
Size matters:
XL Champs: Can't be glanced
Large Champs: Special Attacks, Intercepts, and Heavies can't be glanced.
Medium Champs: Intercepts and Heavies can't be glanced.
Small Champs: Heavies can't be glanced.
Micro-Reflect: When CapIW glances a portion of the Damage is reflected back to you.
Obstinate Charge: He is Stun Immune for the first attack, it goes on cool-down after you land a Parry. Time to Reparry!
Debilitating Refund -2: His Specials cost 80% less power while you have a Debuff applied. (Remove those Power Stings by intercepting!!
Old Sarge Says:
TB EQ Run: Super easy fight with HulkBuster. HB is XL and has power drain. Just be careful of the Debilitating Refund node. Sometimes it can be hard to work in those intercepts. Just push him back when he's blocking until the Power Sting drops off you.
Cav EQ Run: I used Overseer. Bring an XL champ for this fight and it is easy and straightforward. Don't forget that you can't parry his first hit of an attack because of the node.

Chapter 3.1: Mystic with Secondary Option: Science
Easy Path Fights:
Mister Sinister: Long and boring fight. Bait his SP1 unless you can Dex his SP2. I used Sider-Man Supreme. I have no clue what I am doing with him and I almost died. I need to watch a video. lol
Mangog: No 5-hit combos. He's a pain in the ass. I used Doc Voodoo. But he got all that unstoppable crap at the end and I took a lot of damage. Someone with Neutralize or Stagger would help.
Cyclops: It's Cyclops, easy fight. I used America Chavez.
Ghost: Super easy fight. I used America Chavez.
Nimrod: Nothing dificult here other than watching out for the Power Lock he puts on you. I used Doom and pushed him to SP2s the whole fight as I am getting better at Dexing them.
Misty Knight: I had the most issues with her on this path. Her moves are so janky I get flustered. And her SP1/2 are a pain, especially when she is Unbloickable. I lost Doc Voodoo here and finished up with Doom.
Quest Boss: Kate Bishop (SKILL)
Main Nodes:
Heavy Bias: She is gonna heavy a lot.
Bubble Shield -3: Each time you block an attack your Block Proficiency is reduced by 6%. After 10 blocks she will get an Unblockable.
Arrow to the Knee -3: She starts with 7 indefinite Cruelty Passives, which increases her Crit Damage. If you interrupt her Heavy Attack you steal a Cruelty.
Ricochet: If you are against your wall you can't Dex her Specials.
Old Sarge Says:
TB EQ Run: Easy fight. I made a lot of mistakes. Her arrow on her SP1 comes a lot faster than Hawkeyes, must be cause she's younger. And her heavy has REACH!! I did a lot of damage with Massacre, should have been a solo. Finished up with Kitty.
Cav EQ Run: Easier than TB. I used America Chavez for the one-shot. I was much better at Dexing her arrow on the SP1. Still, it seems to come faster than Hawkeye's. She is much better after her little value buff. Just be careful when you parry that Kate doesn't shrug it and smack you around like she did me once in this fight.

Chapter 3.2: Tech with Secondary Option: Cosmic
Easy Path Fights:
Valkyrie: Easy fight with HulkBuster. Pin to the wall and SP2 into block. Heavy your way to victory.
OG Spidey: Bring Venom if you have him. If you don't have Venom then Parry/Heavy your way to a W.
OG Captain America: Howard the Duck here. Easy fight.
OG Black Widow: Used HtD again. Ugg she's a pain. She evaded my whole SP2! lol
Invisible Woman: I used Venom here to use his Bleeds to reduce her invisibility.
Nick Fury: I really love using Peni Parker for him now that she is duped.
Quest Boss: Viv Vision (TECH)
Main Nodes:
Immovable Object: Every 5 hits in your combo meter gives you a Steadfast Charge. This charge lets you block one Unblockable hit. Each charge also gives you +10% Block Proficiency during Viv's Special Attacks.
Special 1 Bias: She will launch SP1 more often.
Ticking Time Bomb -1: Each time you Parry you get a Fuse Charge. When you get 3 Fuse Charges they are consumed and you take damage equal to 15% of your Max Health. You can remove the Fuse Charges by hitting her Block.
Break By Break: When you Armor Break her you suffer -100% Armor Break Ability Accuracy for half a second. Honestly, I am not sure what this means. lol
Old Sarge Says:
TB EQ Run: I'm not great with Hulkling but he got the One Shot. Her SP2 is super easy to evade, so push her to that if you can. She is also #METAL, So Red Mags should work here.
Cav EQ Run: I used Odin. She Power Drains you when you hit her with a Light or Medium. I kept using Heavies to increase Odin's Power Gain. One SP2 and a couple hits was enough. Easier fight if you bring someone immune to Power Drain like Annihilus, Galan, Hulkling, King Groot, Terrax, or Venom. Push her to SP2 as much as possible, super easy to evade. Overall easy fight.
