Quest Global Node:
No Retreat!: When the Attacker dashes back, they gain a Degen Timer for 1.20 seconds. Dashing back again while the Degen Timer is active causes a Passive Degen, dealing 200% of the Defender's Attack as direct damage over 5 seconds.
Basics:
After you dash back, don't dash back again too quickly, or you will take a chunk of damage. Look for the timer, once it expires you can dash back again.
A special attack to the face will do more damage than the degen, so if they have an Unblockable Special- it's ok to Dex.
Below is a video showing how you shouldn't fight on this node and a video of how I did the quest with only 6-Star R1s and 5-Star R4s.
Don't Do This!
How I did it.
DOs and DON'Ts of No Retreat:
Do:
Bring Champions with a big health pool, or high Block Proficiency Champions.
Bring Parry/Heavy Champions, the playstyle will be very similar.
Bring Power Control Champions.
Bring Taunt Champions, it's a lot easier if they throw specials quickly.
Bring Champions that have Healing Abilities.
Block Specials if possible.
Don't:
Dash back too many times.
Hold Block for too long, some heavy attacks will hit you, or it will make you take No Retreat damage.
Path:
Agent Venom -> Red Skull -> Iron Patriot -> Punisher 2099 -> Nebula ->Gambit -> Sabretooth (Boss)
Key Fights:
Agent Venom: His tenacity is extremely annoying. What I did was use his heavy as an opening to attack. So, he would throw the heavy and before his second attack in the heavy I'd attack him. An alternate option is to bring a Champion that prevents his Tenacity.
These are the only ways to prevent No Retreat damage.
Iron Patriot: Damage from No Retreat is less than the damage from his SP 1. So, if you are forced to, Dex his SP 1 and take the No Retreat damage.
Nebula: Her Energize is a big problem for a lot of beginners.
There are 2 ways to deal with her:
High damage dealer: A ramped up Guillotine 2099 or Hercules will melt her down.
Power control: If you can use a Champion who has easy access to power control (i.e., Doom, Magik, Guillotine 2099) she becomes extremely easy to defeat.
Sabretooth (The Boss): His regeneration is nuts, so you need a Champion that can apply Heal Block to him. On my first run I used Warlock, his power drain and heal block made this the easiest boss in 6.1.
Additional Notes:
Quake is a beast on this node, you can't do her normal cycle (Evade, Dex, Evade, Dex ...) so there are 3 cycles you can do:
Evade/Parry, Evade/Parry
Evade/Dex, Evade/Parry, Evade/Dex, Evade/Parry
Evade, Evade, Evade, Evade
